Tango

Buenos Aires was the birthplace of the Argentine Tango and remains the heart of the artform.
Every form of Tango and every activity related to the dance and music can be found in great variety in Buenos Aires. Our commitment is to share the feeling,the emotion, and the passion “porteña” that identifies us all over the world.
Unforgettable experience learning all about its history, the Lunfardo and Fileteado as from the very beginning.

CARLOS GARDEL

The argentinian Tango deserves its mundial fame to the Zorzal Criollo, Carlos Gardel.
We´ll explore his life history, the doubts of his nationality, the places where he used to live, his women, his friends, and his unforgettable songs. Also the tragic accident that took his life away.
Includes the Carlos Gardel Museum visit.

OUTSTANDING BARS

This is one of the most outstanding customs between the “porteños”. You could see people sitting in a bar for hours with only a coffee, talking about everything and nothing trying to fix up the world.
Some of them are very old and are still working. We will visit one typical bar to taste a very good coffee or a traditional “chocolate con churros”.
The atmosphere that can be breathed inside is almost of yesteryear.

EVA PERON

This exclusive tour is about the history and life of Evita. We will visit different places where her work was carried out: the CGT building (Labor General Confederation), Mayo Avenue, the famous balcony, the Labor Ministry, her mausoleum, Our Lady of Pilar Church, the National Library building .
We will also visit the Evita Museum: A place where we will make you feel, know and understand the life and work of one of the most important women of Argentina.

ART

“Art in Buenos Aires” provides a complete panoramic view of the pieces exhibited in the most important city museums. At The National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA) the nineteenth and twentieth centuries argentine art is in detail surveyed, while in the ground floor we can explore the most important works of European art there collected, dated between the twelfth and twentieth centuries.
Works of the most important modern artists from Latin America are gathered at the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA), that is also visited in this journey. A final stop at one of the main galleries holding the trends of contemporary art can complete the tour.

ARCHITECTURE



Buenos Aires holds a valuable, striking and suggestive architectonical heritage. Inspired by international patterns and combined with the local tendency of free reinterpretation, Buenos Aires architectural scenery results in a wide and eclectic building legacy.
This tour highlights the most outstanding features focusing on the descriptions and how they are related to the city’s history. The sites to be visited are: National Parliament Palace, Colon Theatre, Kavanagh Building (local example of the blend between art deco and rationalism), Barolo Palace (inspired on the Divine Comedy), Retiro central train station (excellent piece of railway architecture), and the more contemporary Puerto Madero’s buildings.

RELIGIOUS


Since the very begining, Buenos Aires city was attractive for different religious congregations, like jesuits, dominics, and franciscans. They installed their churchs,convents and schools in the centre of the city.
The city grown up sourrunding them, but they are still working. We will visit three of this churchs and one more in Recoleta.

LINIERS CATTLE MARKET

On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays most part of the cattle that provides the city is auctioned at Liniers Cattle Market.
The animals are placed in pens and buyers select them walking along elevated paths that run around the market.
A visit that is an experience !!
